Early Season Reminder

Each year as our cycling season begins the complaints to the club from motorists, pedestrians and other cyclists also begin.  While they are not numerous they do require our attention as they can be a reflection on the reputation of our club.  It seems that right now is an important time for cycling in Ottawa and for our club.  The club's focus has been and will continue to be on promoting:

  1. That cyclists belong on the road.
  2. Rider education.

Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour 2010 Volunteers

It's been said many times before - volunteers are essential to making the RLCT the success that it is.  Again, this year, many volunteers have answered the call - THANK YOU all.  Most positions have been filled but there remain a few still vacant.

Two volunteers needed for the check out/in desks at the Curling Club, especially on Saturday.

Additional persons are needed to help dispense the free juice/water at the rest stop at the Last Duel Park, especially on Saturday.

Another person is required in Kingston to check in the riders on Saturday.

All expenses incurred for out of town travel are re-imbursed and accommodation/meals are provided in Kingston. Please contact Rosmarie at the Club office or myself for additional information and/or to sign up.
