2013 AGM

Wednesday October 30th
Festival Control Room
City Hall
6pm - 9:30pm

The AGM serves three purposes - 1) an opportunity to get together without our bikes,  2) to review what the club did in 2013 and 3) select a new slate of directors to lead the club for 2014.  Many of the Board of director positions are up for re-election since their terms are expiring. As well, for the past couple of years, we've been running with a reduced slate of directors (Both Andre Gauthier and Peter Tregunno have been doing double duty covering two portfolios). While some of the current Board are willing to remain next year, the Board would like to see new faces around our table in 2014.

Being a director does not have to be an onerous task - in fact, it can be a rewarding experience to take an idea that you have for the club and make it into a reality. The Board meets once a month at our club office on Booth Street.

If you think you'd like to be a part of the board of directors for 2014, please contact any of the current members of the board

Moved to Sunday due to rain

OBC Picnic Sunday, September 22nd

Come to the picnic in the park!  Sunday, September 22nd, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Brewer Park, Ottawa. We have a ‘make-your-own-sandwich' program accompanied by fruit, fruit juice and hot beverages.  Brewer Park is directly east of Carleton University, just across Bronson Avenue (http://ottawafarmersmarket.ca/brewer-park-ottawa/).  The OBC site is located on the east end of the park by the playground, just at the corner of Ossington Avenue and Seneca Street in the Glebe.  Look for the OBC Tent and banner.  We had over 70 people at last year's picnic.  Even if the Sunday morning ride wasn't in your plans, please find time to join us.  There were many members last year who drove and stayed for a few moments to get a coffee, have a bite to eat, and say hello.  We look forward to seeing you there!
