In offering its programs and activities, the OBC complies with provincial and local public health guidelines respecting the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, the OBC complies with the Ontario Cycling Association’s Return to Sport updates and Progressive Return to Cycling guidelines (found at https://www.ontariocycling.org/covid-19-information/). Accordingly, the specifics of the OBC’s approach to pandemic safeguards will evolve as those guidelines evolve.
With respect to COVID-19 vaccines, members attending certain indoor activities may be expected to provide proof of vaccination, if required by provincial regulations or by the venues at that time. This may include, but is not limited to, OBC visits to the London or Milton velodromes and accessing facilities at Algonquin College and Queens University that we plan to use in conjunction with the Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour.
Current regulations do not require the OBC to confirm the vaccination status of participants in its outdoor activities. Nevertheless, in the interest of protecting the health of all club members, the OBC encourages its members to be fully vaccinated before participating in OBC activities.
