Cancelling
When you finish registering with CCNBikes you will be asked if you want to sign-up for cancellation insurance. This cancellation insurance is not administered or controlled by the Ottawa Bicycle Club. We encourage you to read the policy provisions very carefully.
The OBC will provide refunds based on receiving notification in writing by the following dates:
Until Midnight May 10th:
- Refund of ride portion of registration, less $40 ($30 for OBC members) and CCN administration
- Refund of accommodation portion ($100), less $10 and CCN administration
- Other purchases, less $5 and CCN administration, no charge if made at the same time as cancelling the registration
Until Midnight May 31st:
- No refunds on accommodation portion of full tour registration
- Partial refund on ride portion (fee less $40 for non-members, $30 for members)
After Midnight May 31st:
- No refunds on ride or accommodation.
Refunds on Event Cancellation or Postponement
In the unlikely event that the Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour is cancelled or postponed because of Covid restrictions or other causes (force majeure) the Ottawa Bicycle Club will implement the following policy. Registration payments and store purchases will be refunded less any expenses incurred by the OBC as of the date of cancellation (spent administration and management costs, deposits for services, etc.)
Transfers (selling & buying registrations)
In previous years, transfers created significant administrative, liability, and insurance issues. Because of this new refund policy, no transfers will be permitted.
Unregistered Riders
Any rider who is not registered is “on their own”. They are not be eligible for support services and will not be transported by any RLCT vehicle. Riders without bibs will be charged full price for any repairs or supplies provided by the RLCT service vehicles.
